The Neighbors helping Neighbors program is about coordinating
volunteers to assist neighbors in the NVCDC target communities to help
with clean up and address neglected minor property maintenance issues,
which local residents cannot do themselves, due to age or disability, or
other factors preventing them from maintaining their properties.
Neighbors helping Neighbors will help coordinate with local home
weatherization providers, volunteer groups, and other community
resources, as well as NVCDC volunteers to achieve the aims of keeping
these target neighborhoods clean and livable, and up to local codes for
exterior appearance and condition. These efforts are to help with minor
painting and repair, exterior cleaning and lawn maintenance, and
accessibility to these properties in our neighborhoods.
